家電所用的材料品種較多，冷軋板、電鍍鋅板、熱鍍鋅板、熱鍍鋅鐵合金板、彩涂板、覆膜板等均有一定的比例。

對面板進(jìn)行處理的方法，早期采用粉末涂層的比例很高，噴粉屬“后涂裝”工藝，家電外殼在加工成型后噴粉涂裝，其涂膜厚、成本高、效率低、花色品種單一，而且占用空間大，所以無法滿足日新月異的家電市場要求。特別是由于噴粉后需要進(jìn)行加熱固化，所有家電廠都需建固化爐，會產(chǎn)生大量VOCs氣體，對環(huán)境的影響較大，以此目前已經(jīng)開始大批量使用彩涂板生產(chǎn)家電，不但可以減少家電廠的生產(chǎn)工序，減薄涂層，降低成本，而且便于VOCs氣體的集中處理。彩涂板屬于“預(yù)涂裝”工藝，在家電行業(yè)稱為PCM板，根據(jù)正面涂裝道數(shù)劃分，目前主要有一涂一烘（直接涂裝面漆）、二涂二烘（底漆與面漆）和三涂三烘（底漆、面漆和罩光清漆）。

與PCM板相提并論的還有覆膜板，這是家電板特有的品種，是在冷軋板或鍍鋅板表面進(jìn)行高溫腹膜后獲得，其裝飾效果和表面質(zhì)量很好，在電冰箱等產(chǎn)品中得到廣泛應(yīng)用。覆膜板又分為PVC（聚氯乙烯）膜的VCM板和覆PET（耐高溫聚脂）膜的ECM面板。VCM板是在預(yù)鈍化處理的鋼板上涂上膠粘劑后，在一定的溫度下層壓PVC膜而制備。
